Kendall Ross' Sweater Art is Saying Something

Oklahoma City fiber artist Kendall Ross incorporates images and original text into hand-knit sweaters. This is a particularly difficult medium. Knitting itself isn't all that hard, but these designs must be carefully planned and plotted before the first stitch is done, and any deviation while knitting would render the design unreadable.

Ross has a degree in American history, and has been doing fiber art since childhood. She chose her preferred medium of using a historically woman-dominated skill to illustrate modern womanhood after studying knitting movements in American history.
