Gab Bois, an artist in Montreal, inventively remakes ordinary objects into clothing and accessories and makes clothes out of giant versions of things that you’d find at home, like a band-aid dress, a bra out or orange peels, or a bikini made out of earbuds.
Her most recent creation is, the most literal sense, a pencil skirt. That term normally refers to a long, straight skirt, which became fashionable in the 1950s. But Gab Bois’s version consists of many sharpened pencils hanging from the waistline.
