āJynae Bergeron, a Canadian artist, specializes in pyrography--the art of burning images and designs into wood. This is a common craft, including among children and amateurs, because it's cheap and easy to start. But there is nothing amateurish about Bergeron's astonishingly beautiful pieces.
From her studio, she produces precisely rendered designs using reclaimed wood. Both her materials and her subject matter comes from the natural splendor of the Pacific Northwest.
Bergeron says that she wants to express her love for the natural world and inspire similar love by her audiences.
Her portfolio includes entirely decorative pieces appropriate for hanging on walls, but also practical ones, such as these skateboard decks.
Branching out from wood, Bergeron also produces murals, such as this one, which express a mystic wonder for the world.
