Considering the strange blend of earthiness and high-tech that imbues all Star Wars movies and TV series, it makes sense that the characters we know and love would fit right in at Burning Man. The art festival takes place in a pop-up city in the Nevada desert, and is also a strange blend of modern culture and earthiness. You have to admit that the photos we get from Burning Man every year look like Tattooine during the day and a neon disco at night. French AI artist Peio Duhalde harnessed various artificial intelligence programs to make it so.
In this gallery, the Star Wars characters are both attendees and artworks. Duhalde portrays more than one of them as the man who gets burned at the end of the festival. But most of them are just residents of a galaxy far, far away having the time of their lives.
