I should note that these are pictures of eyeballs, not real eyeballs.
Real eyeballs are crazy expensive these days, what with inflation and whatnot.
Fiona Roberts, an Australian artist, calls this work “The Dark Window.” Roberts printed the eyes on the curtain fabric and then attached glass irises to add luster and weight to the piece.
These curtains are part of an installation called “Intimate Vestiges.” Like many of Roberts’s works, which you'll find on Instagram, the collection is noted for multiple human eyes, mouths, and other body parts disconnected from the rest of the human form.
Sadly, it is unclear if these curtains are available for purchase. They would really fit with the look that I'm trying to present in my home.
