Shannon Taylor is an artist in Oakland, California. She paints ethereally mystical works of fairies, nature, and female nudes showing vast worlds hidden in small spaces. These include tiny dioramas encapsulated in pendants, compacts, and clamshells.
Taylor devised this project after a flood in 2022 damaged her studio and forced her to move into a much smaller space. The smaller space required the creation of smaller works, a selection of which will go on display at three upcoming exhibits in Brunswick, Australia, Philadelphia, and Long Island over the course of the next month.
